the Council of Ministers, following Professor E.G. Wedell\u2019s UNESCO report \u201cCyprus \u2013 Teacher and Educational Development.\u201d It began operating in 1973 as a national center dedicated to teacher training, professional reflection, and collaboration, aiming to enhance the quality and development of education in Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the Institute has broadened its scope to include curriculum design, educational research, and the production of teaching materials for schools. It also serves as an advisory and support body for the Ministry of Education, contributing to the continuous professional development of teachers and the improvement of educational policy and practice.<\/p>\n<p>The mission of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute is to promote lifelong learning and professional growth for teachers at all levels. It keeps educators informed about modern pedagogical approaches, supports innovation in teaching, and helps integrate new technologies into the learning process.
